NEOM CEO Nadhmi Al-Nasr said that about 140,000 workers are involved in implementing various projects on the NEOM giga city site around the clock. Addressing the GREAT FUTURES initiative conference at King Abdullah Financial District in Riyadh on Tuesday, Al-Nasr expected that the number of project workers would rise to 200,000 by 2025.
A new futuristic megacity is coming to the United States that will not have traditional cars but only public transport, Express reported. This $400 billion city will house five million people in the middle of the desert. Entrepreneur Marc Lore hopes that this new city will rival other projects such as NEOM's linear city "THE LINE" in Saudi Arabia and the floating city Oceanix Busan in South Korea.
Saudi Arabia is pushing ahead with its ambitious plans for NEOM, a futuristic metropolis spread across 26,500 km² in the northwestern region of Tabuk. First announced in 2017, NEOM is the flagship project of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's Vision 2030 — an initiative to diversify Saudi Arabia's economy and reduce its reliance on oil revenues. There have been reports of setbacks, but officials previously said the project was on track. If construction does goes to plan, NEOM will include OXAGON, an octagonal port city; Sindalah, a luxury island resort; TROJENA, a ski and adventure resort; and a tourism hub in the Gulf of Aqaba.
In the northwest corner of Saudi Arabia, construction is underway on a megaproject that promises to one day house more people than New York City, spread across a vertical skyscraper taller than the Empire State Building and stretching the length of Manhattan to Philadelphia. New satellite imagery provided to Newsweek shows the state of progess at NEOM, the brainchild of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman that the kingdom is pitching as the future of urban living.

This new addition promises a unique blend of experiences on both land and sea, complementing NEOM’s evolving regional development in northwest Saudi Arabia.
NEOM has begun seeking firms that are interested in the construction of the TROJENA Mirage visitor center. Dubbed the Mirage, the facility will be the visitor center that will receive and transfer visitors to the various TROJENA destinations. It is also expected to operate as the first access point for those who seek to explore TROJENA and its beauties.
The National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) participated in a firsthand tour of NEOM, Saudi Arabia's $500 billion giga-project with representatives from 52 global, regional, and local financial institutions. The tour highlighted the advancements made in key projects such as THE LINE, OXAGON, TROJENA, and Sindalah, a site visit to THE LINE to witness the progress of Phase 1 construction and an aerial view of Sindalah luxury island destination, which is set to open soon, NBK said in a press statement.
The ski resort, TROJENA, which is part of Saudi Arabia’s NEOM project is tipped to become a "towering marvel of nature," Daily Star reported. Featuring a "vertical village" and a resort 70% covered in snow, TROJENA is set to become the world’s first ski resort in the middle of a desert.
The CEO of NEOM Green Hydrogen Co. has announced progress on building the world’s largest hydrogen plant in Saudi Arabia’s NEOM region. Wesam Al-Ghamdi revealed that the construction of the plant in NEOM’s city of “OXAGON” is advancing significantly.
The Saudi Red Sea Authority and NEOM signed a memorandum of understanding on Friday to cooperate on developing legislation, regulations, and technology in marine tourism, reported the Saudi Press Agency.
