Zak Brown, a professional racing driver before entering motorsport’s business and commercial worlds, is in Saudi Arabia supporting NEOM McLaren Formula E Team drivers Jake Hughes and Sam Bird at the Diriyah E-Prix.
Brown, 52, is relishing rounds two and three of the all-electric Formula E season in Diriyah on Friday and Saturday – where both races take place at night under the lights – and he lauded the Kingdom’s hosting of elite motorsports.

Saudi Arabia has made a $53 million deal with an Italian company to build a dream in the desert, a train that shall be the first of its kind in the Middle East. The Italian Company ‘Arsenale Group,’ who built Orient Express La Dolce Vita, is partnering with Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR) to build a luxury, 40-cabinet train that shall pass from the North Train Station in Riyadh and end at Al-Qurayyat Train Station. When finished, the train will be the first of its kind in the region, offering a second-to-none Arabian experience.

Freight forwarder DSV and NEOM Company have obtained the relevant regulatory approvals to form its USD10 billion exclusive joint venture to support the development of projects taking place as part of the Saudi Arabian giga-project.

Abdulmohsen Alhokair Group for Tourism and Development (Alhokair Group) penned an agreement valued at nearly SAR 760 million, according to a bourse filing.  The listed firm inked the contract with Alpha Facilities Contracting Company, affiliated with Al Fanar Group, to provide catering services in one of the residential complexes in NEOM.  Alhokair Group was awarded the project deal on 17 December 2023.
