Saudi Arabia will start construction of a green hydrogen plant as soon as this month as it pushes ahead with plans to export the fuel in about four years. The kingdom is on track sell carbon-free hydrogen from a $5bn project in NEOM by 2026, according to Peter Terium, the head of energy and water for the new region. Engineers have finished flattening the site in north-western Saudi Arabia and US-based Air Products & Chemicals will soon begin building the facility, he said.
The total volume of investments in Saudi Arabia’s industrial sector accumlated to SR1.33 trillion ($354 billion) by the end of January, official data showed. In its official bulletin, the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources said investments worth SR1.8 billion were recorded in January.

The King Abdulaziz Royal Reserve recently announced its goal to plant 3.1 million trees by 2027. The King Abdulaziz Reserve is linked administratively to the Royal Reserves Council, which is chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The King Abdulaziz Royal Reserve Development Authority, which the Minister of Interior oversees, is in charge of supervising the reserve and working to develop it by approving the necessary regulations to achieve its goals.
The manufacturing facility located in Saudi Arabia's planned city of NEOM would produce chips, displays, and EV components. The new factory will be located in the city of NEOM in the Tabuk Province of northwestern Saudi Arabia. The one problem being, NEOM doesn't exist yet. The Saudi government announced NEOM back in 2017 and is planning to complete the first section by 2025. When finished, it's expected to become a new economic zone covering 10,000 square miles at an estimated cost of $500 billion.
Those in charge of NEOM are creating a city where you can go snorkelling by the beach and ski down snow-topped mountains on the same day. Mountain destination TROJENA, set to open in 2026, will have a ski village, ultra-luxury family and wellness resorts, a wide range of retail stores and restaurants, as well as water sports, mountain biking and an interactive nature reserve.
