Fly Red Sea operates a fleet of cutting-edge seaplanes, designed to transport tourists to water-based resorts in Saudi Arabia’s new Red Sea destination. Saudi developer Red Sea Global has launched the first seaplane company to operate within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Taking off in October 2023, Fly Red Sea, has started operations with an initial fleet of four Cessna Caravan 208 seaplanes managed by aviation specialists.
Saudi-based Innovative Contracts for Advanced Dimensions (ICAD) has selected RTX business Collins Aerospace for the delivery, deployment, and support services for airport and passenger processing systems for the NEOM Bay Airport at NEOM City in the kingdom. ICAD serves as the prime contractor on the airport project. Collins will provide a suite of connected airport systems products, including an operational database, resource management, messaging, baggage, and self-drop bag systems.
KT, formerly known as Korea Telecom, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Hyundai Engineering & Construction (Hyundai E&C) and STC Group, the parent company of Saudi Telecom, for a 50-year digital transformation project in Saudi Arabia. Announced at the recent Korea-Saudi 50th Anniversary Construction Cooperation Event, the companies will be teaming up to construct data centers and lay out the IT groundwork for a smart city in Saudi Arabia. Details about the data center have not been provided,
NEOM is working with Hong Kong-based 10 Design as the lead consultant for its newly launched Epicon towers project, which will be one of the flagship developments of its Gulf of Aqaba development. The project, previously known as the Gas Station Hotel, involves the construction of a twin-tower hotel, with the towers measuring 275 metres and 225 metres in height. The hotel will have 41 keys and 14 residential suites and apartments.
NEOM has announced a partnership with leading global superyacht provider, Burgess, to offer its full suite of services to Sindalah’s yachting clientele. Ahead of the island’s opening during 2024, the agreement supports NEOM’s vision of Sindalah becoming a global yachting destination and offers guests a comprehensive range of services to cater for their yachting needs.
NEOM has completed the technical evaluation of the proposals for the TROJENA dams. The client and the selected contractors are now negotiating the commercial aspects of the project. Earlier this year, NEOM engaged three contractors on an early contractor involvement (ECI) basis. They include a consortium of Saudi Arabia-based Al-Ayuni with Turkiye-headquartered Limak, Beijing-based PowerChina and Italy’s WeBuild.

NEOM has opened its first international office in London, which will serve as a base for its business across Europe, said a press statement issued on Thursday. The opening was led by Saudi Ambassador to the UK Prince Khalid bin Bandar bin Sultan, the Rt Hon Oliver Dowden CBE MP, Deputy Prime Minister of the UK, and NEOM CEO Nadhmi Al-Nasr.
