Multinational corporations are moving their Middle East regional headquarters to Saudi Arabia to tap into tech opportunities like the joint venture between NEOM and OneWeb.

Read the very short story at CNN Business

Saudi-listed ACWA Power is expecting to close financing for its renewable project with The Red Sea Development Company (TRSDC) by end of the year, and its NEOM hydrogen project in the second half of next year.  The two projects, in addition to its ongoing developments in Sudair and Jazan, will have positive impacts on its earnings, Paddy Padmanathan, chief executive officer of ACWA Power, told Arab News.

Saudi authorities are also planning to establish an esports academy as part of the NEOM smart city development.  Saudi Arabia’s General Authority for Competition (GAC) has approved a project to implement, manage, operate and develop a video game studio in NEOM.  The joint venture between NEOM and MBC Initiatives – which is wholly-owned by MBC Group Holding Ltd – will be the first AAA video gaming project in the Middle East.
