UK studio Zaha Hadid Architects has designed a 330-metre-tall skyscraper as part of the TROJENA ski resort at NEOM in Saudi Arabia. On display as part of the NEOM stand at the Cityscape conference in Riyadh, the 330-metre-tall skyscraper will form part of TROJENA, which is being masterplanned by German studio LAVA architects.
NEOM’s water and electricity subsidiary ENOWA has completed a trial using helicopters to install high-voltage transmission line towers, advancing its renewable-based energy system project. The innovative construction method involves airlifting individual tower components to the NEOM mountains and assembling them at the tower base. This approach eliminates the need for carbon-intensive trucks, cranes, and heavy equipment, aligning with NEOM's commitment to sustainability.
NEOM Company has appointed Jacobs as lead design consultant for the redevelopment of the port of its planned mega-city in Saudi Arabia. The organisation behind the multi-billion-dollar development of the desert Tabuk Province in the northwest of the country has appointed the American engineering giant to design plans for the Port of NEOM. The port will sit in the proposed industrial city complex named OXAGON, providing a net zero global logistics hub.
Saudi Arabia’s NEOM project was featured at an event in Tokyo on Wednesday with the support of Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, the Japan External Trade Organization and the Center for Cooperation in the Middle East. The event was part of the “Discover NEOM” tour, which is being held in major cities around the world and took place at the Toranomon Hills Forum in the center of Tokyo.
South Korea’s 17 small- and mid-sized enterprises (SMEs) have been confirmed to participate in the Saudi-Korean Industrial Village (SKIV) project in Saudi Arabia, in which the Saudi royal family and government will invest about 10 trillion won ($7.52 billion) in the first round. It is unprecedented for Saudi Arabia to open its doors to SMEs from a single country and create an industrial complex. The move comes as Saudi Arabia is seeking to reduce its reliance on oil and shift economic focus to high-tech manufacturing.
ZeroAvia today announced that Airbus, Barclays Sustainable Impact Capital and NEOM have co-led the company's latest financing round. Breakthrough Energy Ventures, Horizons Ventures, Alaska Airlines, Ecosystem Integrity Fund, Summa Equity, AP Ventures and Amazon Climate Pledge Fund have also participated in the investment.
Indian billionaire and business tycoon, Anand Mahinra Saturday lauded Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman’s dream project NEOM and its CEO Nadhmi Al-Nasr. Taking to social media platform X, Anand Mahindra also shared glimpses of NEOM – a multi-trillion dollar project that includes smart towns, port and enterprise sectors, research centres, sports and entertainment venues and tourism centres along with a 170-kilometre-long city called THE LINE.

The South Korean government is reportedly planning a visit to Saudi Arabia next month alongside leaders of major conglomerates, including Samsung, SK, and Hyundai Motor, as part of a concerted effort to secure business orders related to NEOM City, the kingdom’s mega city development.
TROJENA is part of NEOM’s regional plan, located 50km from the Gulf of Aqaba coast in the heart of the NEOM nature region. Elevations range from 1,500m to 2,600m and cover an area of nearly 60 square kilometers.
